　　china’s first spaceman---yang liwei

　　yang liwei was born in an ordinary family in liaoning province in 1965. he became a pilot in chinese air force in 1987, spending 1,350 hours in the air. he has spent 5 years training to become a spaceman.

　　yang liwei was sent into space at 9 a.m on october 15th by china’s shenzhou v spacecraft, which orbited the earth 14 times. he landed safely at 6:23 a.m the net day, making china the third country successfully sending a person into space after the former soviet union and the usa.

　　yang liwei came back to the earth after a 21-hour trip to space. in space yang recorded everything he saw and showed china’s national flag and the united nations’ flag to the people watching on tv at home.

　　all of the chinese are proud of our first spaceman---yang liwei.

　　Bicycle is a convinient means of transporation. It has been very popular in China. During the rush hours, particularly in big cities, you can often see a sea of bicycle riders in the streets. People can ride bicycles to their working places, to schools, to shopping centers and so on. In a word, bicycles play an important role in daily life.

　　Compared with cars, bicycles have many advantages. Firstly, they are not so expensive as cars and almost every family can afford to buy and repair them. Secondly, riding bicycle is a healthy form of exercise. They do good to our health. Thirdly, bicycles can save energy and does not cause any pollution, while cars will cause serious air pollution, which makes the air in our living place very dirty and makes a lot of people suffer from lung cancer. As weall know, China is a country with a large population. Ifeach family has a car, a large amount of energy would be wasted and air pollution would become more and more serious. Finally, most Chinese people don＇ t live far away from where they work or study, it is convenient to ride bicycles. I think that is why bicycles are used so much.

　　Bicycles are so popular in China that China is often referred to as the kingdom of bicycles. I hope more and more people can ride bicycles in order to make our planet better and cleaner.

　　和汽車相比，自行車有許多優(yōu)點(diǎn)。首先，自行車不像汽車那么貴，每個(gè)家庭都買得起，也負(fù)擔(dān)得起修理費(fèi)。騎自行車是一種有益的鍛煉方式，對身體有益。第三，自行車能夠節(jié)省能源，不會(huì)造成污染。而汽車卻會(huì)造成嚴(yán)重的空氣污染，使得我們生活的地方的空氣變得非常臟，許多人都患了肺癌。眾所周知，中國人口眾多。如果每個(gè)家庭都有一輛汽車，就會(huì)浪費(fèi)掉大量的能源，而且空氣污染會(huì)越來越嚴(yán)重。最后，大多數(shù)中國人居住的地方離上班、上學(xué)的地方不遠(yuǎn)，騎自行車很方便。我想這些就是自行車在中國大量使用的原因。

　　自行車在中國如此受歡迎，因此中國被稱做自行車王國。我希望能有越來越多的人騎自行車，從而使我們居住的星球變得更美好更清潔。

　　Private cars have entered Chinese families. More and more people drive to work in their own ears. And it seems a trend that all can possess a family car in the future.

　　But is it really good to have a car? Owning a car means spending time and money buying, learning to drive and repairing it. So you seem to pay a lot for a big trouble. Besides, if every family has a car, what will the road be like? Crowded? Jammed with... Oh, my God!

　　Family cars are intended to be convenient, but will it really bring convenience to the everyday life in a country with such a large population? Moreover, driving cars will very likely make people sit all the time without any exercises. It will do harm to the physical body. Comparatively, riding bicycles is mtIch better and economical. So,I think, it is not appropriate for China to popularize family cars in the near future, especially in our big densely-populated cities.
