not...until基本含義是“直到...才”。

　　I did not go home until my mother called me.

　　我直到我媽媽打電話給我才回家。

　　Not until Father came back did we begin to have supper last night.

　　昨晚直到父親回來，我們才開始吃晚飯。

　　not until的倒裝與強(qiáng)調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)，not until通常與非延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞連用，強(qiáng)調(diào)主句所表示的狀態(tài)或情景從until所表示的時(shí)間才發(fā)生，主句必須是否定句。

　　1、當(dāng)Not until位于句首時(shí),句子要倒裝。其結(jié)構(gòu)為:Not until+從句/表時(shí)間的詞+助動(dòng)詞+(主句)主語+謂語
